Dream and freedom

My name is Siba Atef Salloum, and I’m an artist from Syria. I work mainly with realism, emotional expression, and portraiture. Through graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and acrylic paints, I try to capture the subtle, often unnoticed details of human emotion and bring them to life through scenes that speak to the heart. I’m deeply drawn to feelings—especially the ones people tend to hide or overlook. I like to pause with them, study their weight, and turn them into something visual. I find beauty in small moments and hidden expressions, and my art is my way of sharing that beauty with others. I’ve had the chance to participate in several exhibitions in Syria, such as “Lammat Ward” organized by the Ministry of Culture in Latakia, “Balkon Bahri” with JCI in Tartous, and another exhibition held by the Saba Foundation in Latakia. I also contributed to a mural project led by the Mujib Daoud Center for Fine Arts in Tartous.
